Installation
-
Installing an ILD Cattle Grid is designed to be quick and straightforward, thanks to our exclusive kit-form design.
-
Dig a pit to accommodate the depth of the cattle grid. The depth of the pit needs to be deep enough to accommodate the grid plus the required depth of sub base material.
-
And drainage to the pit if required. This can be a gully pot in the base of the grid leading to a near by ditch or soak away
-
Compact the sub base material to provide a stable foundation.
-
Carefully lower the cattle grid base sections into the pit. The base can now be assembled in the pit
-
Once the base is assembled and level, the top bar sections can now be lowered into the base and bolted down, completing the grid assembly.
-
Backfill the pit around all four edges of the grid, securing it in place. Use suitable material such as gravel or hardcore and consolidate
-
Compact the backfill material to prevent settling.
